Chetna Keer is a novelist, satirist, "Hindustan Times" columnist, TED Circles 2020 panelist & Whitmarsh 'Climate Change' Memorial Lecture speaker.
Chandigarh-born Chetna is a former senior journalist and guest faculty at the prestigious Indian Institute of Mass Communication, New Delhi. She had the honour of being invited to conduct MasterClass for a global program like the citizen media course of Deepalaya in collaboration with the prestigious McCandlish Phillips Institute, New York, USA.
She has authored three books, "Giddha On My Gulmohar” (Readomania, 2022), "Trollitically Incorrect" (2018), and "Veggies Go On A Beauty Parade (Rupa, 2005).
She has been invited as Speaker to leading litfests, from the 'Global South' Ananke Women In Literature Fest 2023 & 2022 to the Pune International Litfest 2022, to the Khushwant Singh Litfest at Kasauli, the Chandigarh Litfest “Literati” and Sanawar Dodransbicentennial Litfest at The Lawrence School, Himachal Pradesh. At the Khushwant Singh HumorFest, New Delhi, 2020, she shared stage with global legends like BBC's Mark Tully.
She also gets invited to hold MasterClasses on "Craft of Creative Writing", "Satire in Literature", "Subtleties of Satire" etc, at the reputed IIMC - Delhi, Mukand Lal National College, Haryana, and the Chandigarh Literary Society.
Causes close to her heart, #SaveHimalayas #GoGreen and #ClimateChange, saw her invited as Speaker to the Whitmarsh Knight Memorial Lecture on Climate Change - 2019 at Bishop Cotton School, Shimla.
Chetna clocked a stint in the print media for over 25 years, as Lifestyle Editor with The Tribune, and later as Features Curator with 'Simply Punjabi' of India Today. Her writings have been published in leading publications like Deccan Herald, Hindu, Femina, The Week, etc.
Twenty-five years later (or late!), she rebooted into a full-time novelist and a social media commentator-cum-satirist through her HT column "WITerati".
