Smita Das Jain is the author of 'A Price to Love', A Slice Of Life: Every Person Has A Story’ and ‘The Lost Identity.’ She is a writer by passion and writes something every day. Samples of her writing are visible in her home office, her sunny terrace garden, her husband’s car, and the kitchen napkins. Her debut short story collection, A Slice of Life, was named among India’s top three fiction works in 2021 by Writefluence. Smita was the only Asian to be named in the Top 20 flash fiction winners list in the Spring 2022 contest of the prestigious US-based Women On Writing (WOW!) magazine for women writers, and her award-winning short stories have been featured in prominent national and international anthologies around the globe. She was shortlisted for The Orange Flower Awards, 2022 for her short fiction and has been featured in The Pioneer, The Daily Guardian, Zee News and The Authority Magazine, a Medium Publication. Smita was also named one of the Top 50 most influential authors of 2021 by Delhi Wire.
Outside the world of writing, Smita is an Executive Coach and Personal Empowerment Life Coach enabling people to get better at what they do, a TEDx speaker, a keynote speaker at prestigious corporate conferences and a guest columnist on personal development matters for leading magazines and platforms. Previously, she was a Strategy professional with more than fourteen years of experience working in leadership roles at Fortune 500 companies like KPMG, JLL and United Technologies Corporation. An IIM Indore and SRCC alumna with a diploma from Columbia Business School, Smita lives with her rockstar husband and adorable twelve-year-old daughter at their home in Gurugram, India.
