Beggars begging
What we thought
A symbol of poverty
A sign of helplessness
A choice for charity
To give saints is ritual

Beggars begging
There are more in it
A business opportunity
A clad to hide for criminals
A trigger for kidnapping more children
An illegal profession with growing scope.

Begging
Is illegal
Prohibited by law
Misused by anti-social groups
Threat to a Nation's development
A big problem spreading unnoticed.

A child is in need
Begs for money
Say no to begging
Save more children -
From being kidnapped
From being trained to beg.

Yes, Fakhirs and Sadhus
Getting alms is ritual
But note criminals are in refuge
And in camouflage of saints
Say no to begging
Stop criminals from thriving.

Who are beggars
Where do they come from
Some with psychiatric illness, abandoned by family,
Few with disability, few lazy
Some took it professionally
Some got forced with fate.

What we help from heart
Should be utilized in best part
We are not against help
But a finite no to begging
We should help needy
To recover, not to accommodate.

Help the old
Physically incapable and child
Help the needy at most
with cloth and food
Yes to help
No to Begging.

Say  big no to begging
No to activity illegal
No to criminals clad in beggary
No to lazy money-grazers
No to begging mafias
No to child-kidnap for beggary.
