Eyes That See

Why do roses have thorns-they say!

Or is it that thorns have roses maybe?

It all depends on the eyes of the beholder 

To see only the beauty of the rose 

and not the throne,

Or the throne that protects the rose 

from when its born!  

Well, every beautiful thing in this universe 

is guarded by a keeper

Just like the stone on the head of a snake

Or the moon inside which it has black stain

Or a girl by her father, husband or brother

Or a baby in the womb of a mother

Why do roses have thorns-they say!

Or is it that thorns have roses maybe?

Diamonds are made of charcoals-who could say?

Or butterfly comes out of caterpillar cocoon one day? 

For the charcoals and caterpillar are valueless,

And diamonds and butterflies-well, they are priceless

There is always good in bad, or bad in good you see?

Because good and bad goes hand in hand,

For the roses aren't beautiful without the thorns,

And diamonds without coals wouldn't be born!
