Wait

Years of wait and disappointment had turned her into an insomniac. Like every other day she was fighting her battle with sleep, and was suddenly reminded of all the memories that her short term relationship had left her with!

She didn't want this feeling because she knew that her tormented soul was too fragile to deal with the emotional set back those memories brought with them. And to avoid them, she tossed and turned in the bed forcing herself to sleep.

'Ria!' she heard someone shout her name. She knew this voice. The melody in this voice had always given her goosebumps. She turned back in excitement to see Arjun walking towards her.

She quickly did her hair and a beautiful smile automatically splashed across her face.
'Where were you all this while? You know I've been waiting for you since so long!' Arjun exclaimed as he approached Ria.
'Waiting for me? But I thought that you didn't want me around.'
'Come on Ria! I'd give everything I have to have you with me.'
Her pale cheeks suddenly turned pink.
'But you....'
He didn't let her finish the sentence and placed a finger on her lips.
'I'll always love you Ria and you, you'll always be mine, even if we are miles apart.'
She tried to speak but she felt her throat choking. Arjun took a step closer and put his hand on her eyes.
She struggled hard to take his hand off her but she couldn't. When she finally managed to open her eyes somehow, Arjun was nowhere to be seen, just darkness prevailed!
She knew that she was dreaming of him again and that she would never get to see him, yet she hoped for a miracle.
She spent most of her day sleeping for she loved to meet him in her dream world, one she had created for herself over the years.
One day when she didn't wake up, she was smiling and her diary knew that her soul was finally at peace!
