Amrita Anand Nayak is an IT professional, a mother of two, and a writer with three published books under her belt! She works for a leading international bank in their technology division, in Pune - a city she loves!
After completing her engineering studies from Delhi in 2003, she moved to Pune for her first job as a Software Engineer, and she hasn’t looked back since then! She is a proud Delhiite-turned-Punekar. It was in Pune that she met her soulmate, got married, became a mom, and also got published! While she adores her kids and loves to spend her free time colouring with her younger one and playing chess with her older one, she also loves to read and weave stories, with a steaming cup of java - whenever she finds time. Multi-tasker is her middle name now, though she does keep dropping a ball or two in this juggling act now and then! But being a true believer in Wabi-sabi – the Japanese concept of finding beauty in imperfection, she thinks these dopped balls keep life real, challenging and fun!

About her books:
Her first book, 'Polka Dots, Ponytails and Purple Pouts' was in the chick-lit genre and it became a national bestseller, striking a chord with the youth. Her second book titled 'Squeezing Lemons', a slice-of-life story of two siblings who brave the odds of their lives to pursue their dreams, garnered fantastic reviews on Amazon and Goodreads.
The problem with perfect lives is a warm tale set in the rainy town of Wai, in the foothills of the Sahyadri range, where Mahek Waikar runs an Airbnb villa, and gets to meet some colourful and truly interesting characters along the way. Every day entails a new adventure, a new challenge and a new curveball, which are handled skilfully by the lovely Mahek and her gallant partner Dalbeer. There’s love, there’s laughter, there’s drama, there’s dilemma, there’re twists, and there’re turns – basically, there’s never a dull moment in this soulful journey - best enjoyed with a hot cup of tea and crispy pakodas on a rainy day!
