Sonal is a multiple award-winning writer, blogger, and a management professional. Sonal is the founder of a woman-centric headhunting firm called Rian Placements. She loves poetry, is passionate about animal rescue and welfare, and finds her relaxation in travelling, baking and cooking. Over twenty anthologies worldwide have published her work, poetry and prose. In 2021, she released her first book, a volume of poetry titled “Islands in the stream”. The book was the second runners-up in the poetic Caesura awards in 2021. The Asian Literary Society adjudged the book ‘the best poetry book’ in 2022. It also was the second runners-up in the Lit Digital awards in 2022. The Maharshi Vedvyas International award for books conferred on Sonal the title of ‘Creative Author - short poetry’ in 2022. Sonal’s other accomplishments include - The Gitesh Biva Award for short fiction writing in 2019 (Asian Literary Society). The Prasanna Jena Award for short fiction writing in 2019 (Asian Literary Society). The Orange Flower Award for parent blogging in 2020 (Women’s Web). Runners-up in the Orange Flower Award for writing on LGBTQ+ issues in 2021 (Women’s Web). The Best Blogger Award in 2021 (Asian Literary Society). The Woman Achiever Award in 2021 (Asian Literary Society). The Sagar memorial Award for children’s literature in 2021 (Asian Literary Society). Sonal has just released her second volume of poetry titled - Between the shadow and the soul, published by Ukiyoto Publishing.
