Nimi Kurian is a senior journalist and children’s writer whose career spans over 25 years. She was an editor and writer with The Hindu, where she played a key role in shaping the content of its children’s magazine Young World. She retired as Senior Deputy Editor. She continues to be a regular contributor to Young World, crafting stories that have delighted generations of young readers.
Nimi also writes for What’s Up, a children’s newspaper based in Singapore. Her love for storytelling has resulted in several children’s books, many set in the misty hills of Coonoor, a landscape that often inspires her writing.
Her latest book, Sheet Mischief, won the prestigious Children’s Book Trust Award in the Pet Tales category, affirming her unique voice in contemporary Indian children's literature.
