Readomania is delighted to announce the acquisition of the worldwide publishing rights to Dr. Rishi Sethi's work of fiction, 'The Sage'. The book is expected to hit the stores in October - November 2021.
Dr Rishi Sethi is a professor of Cardiology and Dean (Innovations) at King George’s Medical University, Lucknow. He is also a member of the Senate at IIT Kanpur. He takes his profession very seriously, but when without his apron, he is generally a dreamer. An inspiration for many, Rishi himself seeks inspiration in the great Urdu shaayars like Faiz and Faraz, giants of Indian literature like Tagore and Dinkar, and Portuguese philosopher and poet, Pessoa.
Rishi also carries a spark for innovation and technology. His pipeline innovation project ‘School of International Biodesign - SHINE’, funded by the Government of India, aligns with modern India’s dream of ‘Make in India’ for medical innovations. He has contributed immensely to medical literature with more than 100 scientific publications in journals of international fame and three books in Cardiology.
In 2018, Rishi took his literary passions to the next level by founding and mentoring a group of young literature enthusiasts at his University that goes by the name of Soul Cushions. Rishi and Soul Cushions are a regular feature in the diverse literary circles of Lucknow.
Sethi says, 'The one thing I believe in is to have ‘faith'. ‘The Sage’ is a step in that direction where I have tried to debate the conflicts of the human mind from varied perspectives, trying to discover, together with his readers, the miracles of faith and love.'
The book is expected to hit the stores in October - November 2021.
