Readomania presents an innovative program designed to support young writers who have a flair for writing, the Young Author Program. YAP is the most rigorous yet shortest route to getting published. 

Once chosen through a rigorous selection process, the program offers budding talent the opportunity to be mentored by published authors and publishers through a series of writing workshops. Importantly, it offers a safe space wherein you work alongside other writers, secure in the knowledge that you are fully supported. At the end of the workshops and a demanding writing schedule, the young writers go on to traverse the journey to becoming a published author whose work is available for the world to devour.

The program also enhances critical life skills like written and oral communication, imagination, problem-solving, etc. YAP works towards improving the IQ and EQ of writers through various exercises, activities, and sessions. 

Dr. Manimala Roy, principal, Basava International School, says, 'I am thankful to the Young Author Program for this innovative initiative. This workshop has empowered the participants with that instrument of employing words to win arguments. At the end of the workshop, children have moved one step forward to leadership. As an effective leader, I am sure, now they will know how to create and communicate a collective dream and how to inspire people to move forward together.'

 

The YAP course structure covers all the important ingredients that are required for a young author. It is driven by three main objectives

  1. Stimulating imagination and out-of-the-box thinking – how to generate ideas
  2. Developing a good story through a combination of plot, characters, setting, and narration – how to convert story ideas into a plot, create memorable characters and settings
  3. Enhancing artistic expression and thoughts through writing – how to improve the writing style, create dialogues, narrative style, and voice
