Tossing the letter back on the bed, my heart skipped a beat. I knew then, perhaps this could be a mistake but I couldn't stop myself. 

Leaning back on the tan leather couch as I stirred my coffee, I thought to myself, 'I'll never apologise for the fire I caused, because while you were busy extinguishing the parts of your past, my soul was shedding its old skin and embracing the beautiful ambiguity that I'm.'
