It was a full moon night. Both were sitting on the roof, looking at the horizon. It was completely dark, with only the stars were visible. They could hear the river flowing, while a cool breeze blew over them. A nice weather wasn't it? But for them it wasn't...their story had changed forever.

"Tear...that is how I would remember you," said he.

"Why?"  She asked

"Are not the tears which remain with us in both sad and happy times?"

"Is this our last meet?"

"How can it be?"

"Things would never be the same," she replied

"I know," he said

"Can I ask you for something?"

"What is it?"

"I want those stars over the horizon"

"Unfortunately I cannot give it you, all I can give is sorrow," he said ruefully

"From this moment on we will be on different paths. I want to leave everything here, I do not want to carry joy nor sorrow," she said

No words exchanged. He left. She left. Destiny started its game.

He went to his home. Once in his room he wrote a letter to whom even he didn’t know.

"To the unnamed,

I am tired of this life. Everything seems monotonous. Yet I accept is as it is. I am tired of those fake smiles, fake tears and lies. I am tired of the lies and the truths. I am afraid to change yet I want to. I am afraid of the sins I have committed, the lies I have spoken yet I continue to live with them. I do not know what I want with life. It seems as if it’s a long dreamless night or is it a long mundane day? I do not know what I expect from life, neither do I want a night of dreams nor a castle of hopes. I do not know what awaits me. Yet all I can do is wait, wait and wait....

Come my eye's longing, come my tears

Wipe away my all fears

For I shall start a new journey so shall she

Neither is this a poem nor a psalm

It’s the wail of my soul that shall remain calm

O thee listen to my call

Lift me from the abyss I fall"

Tomorrow he shall start a new journey. Will it be a new journey? Well it’s a question only his fate knows.

She went to a hotel. Nobody told her not to cry. Nobody told her not to dance in rain. Nobody told her to laugh slowly. Nobody stopped her from being insane. She was really herself. Was she really? Is it another question that fate would answer? Only time shall tell.

She thought:

"I have come along a new journey

Was it my destiny?

Was I delaying the inevitable?

Is it real life or just a fable?

Tears come down my eyes

Is it my love that made them rise?

Are the heavens wailing,

Or are they laughing at me

I do not know what life wants from me

Who was he really?

I don’t have answers, only the questions

Lead me the way Thee

Help me! Where are you? Set me Free"

Tomorrow will she also start a new journey? Is it the same old journey?

Tomorrow has come. But is it really a next day or a mere yesterday?

He went to the park. The rain droplets were still there on the wires, small boats were there in the ponds, everything was just the same. Only then a voice came,

"Do you really feel everything is just the same?" Said the voice

"May I know whom am I talking to?” He asked

"It does not have any significance does it?"

"Maybe it does. Do I know you?"

"Perhaps you know. Perhaps I have been there with you always. You may not have noticed my presence but I was there. Let me be a wanderer in this barren land."

"What do you want from me?"

"What can you give me?"

"My tears, anger, love, hatred what so ever you want"

"Do you think this is your life?"

"No"

"Do you believe in fate?"

"I did"

"It has written something good for you"

"Has it?"

"That only its writer knows"

"What should I do?"

"You know that don't you?"

"Maybe"

"Life does not give another chance to everyone"

"Bye,” he said

"Bye," replied the voice back

He ran.

She went to her house. She was welcomed by silence and attended by creaking old rusty gates. She went to her room and opened her diary. She remembered the joyful days but quickly put those thoughts aside.

"So you have come," said the voice

"Yes," she replied, without looking back

"How are you?" Asked the voice

"I am good and fresh"

"Are you?" Asked the voice again

Now she broke, her heart broke and so did her voice. Tears rolled down her cheeks

"You said you would never leave me," said she

"I never left you, how can a mother leave her daughter? I told you call me from the heaven I shall be there by your side, here I am,” said the voice

"Am I talking to the ghost of my mother?"

"No, you are talking to your mother. Does it really matter in which form

"What should I do?"

"You know that already don't you?"

"Thank you"

"Always by your side," said the voice

She ran.

He ran to an unknown, unnamed place, and so did she. He was waiting for her so and so was she. He reached there so did she. He didn't speak a word, so didn’t she. He did not see her and neither did she. What they saw was their image waiting to be loved and cared. Her soul, his soul both longed to be loved for, both longed to be cared for. No words exchanged. Somethings are best unsaid, untold.

He now knew whose voice was it so did she. The voice was that of their soul, the voice that longed to be heard. The voice that wanted attention but faced suppression, at last the voice had won. Had the voice won? Or had the Love? That only they know. Fate is unique. Now is the fate laughing or celebrating with them? Who knows its game.

He and she united. Had they even separated? They were attached with an unbreakable thread of love.

He had tears in her eyes so did she. A tear, that's what came. He lived in her through tears and so did she...A Tear. Everything was spoken in a tear.....no more words to be said no more stories to be listened between for they are an eternal fathomless sea of love.
