After Quarantine

I was shocked when I opened my bookshelf. I found a box labelled as ‘Covid - 19 Vaccine’. I screamed , I shouted, I cried and with trembling hands, I touched it. I felt as if all the happiness came to me like a white hole sucking out happiness. I thought that I could do anything: Not necessary to wear a mask, not necessary to do social distancing. But then something struck into my mind; What if this is a fake vaccine? What if my parents gave me a fake vaccine just because my birthday was around the corner?

I ran down the staircase and entered the living room. It was a large place which was equal to two large bedrooms. I saw my mother there. I said ‘’Mother what is this vaccine, is it really a-

‘’ Yes lily, this is a real vaccine, your father bought it yesterday night when you were sleeping ‘’

‘’But-‘'

‘’Everyone has put their Vaccine and it's just you to put the vacc-’’

‘’Ok’’ I said happily.

I ran to the bedroom and opened the box labeled as ‘Covid-19 vaccine’ and in it  there was a liquid in a bottle. I saw that there was not only a vaccine but also an instruction card. The card said that we have to drink it. I drank it , it tasted really bad.

Then , I felt as though an invincible power was rising in me. I felt as though I could do anything.

I ran back to the living room where my mother stood and told her ‘’ I have drank the vaccine’’

‘’Ok, now since we all have the vaccine we can go out …. hmm… I thought we could go the the beach-’’

‘’Ok’’ I said.

‘’Lets go to the car’’

When I went out, I felt really happy. I breathed the fresh air, thinking that we were going out after months.

I ran to the car. It seemed like a really long drive, although later I found out we reached in just 2 minutes. Maybe its because I was too eager to go our after months 

When we reached the beach, i had a great time. We played with a ball in the pleasant weather, hearing the swishing sound of the sea waves. But then, when i was not even nearly satisfied with fun, Something happened, I felt drowsy.

I thought that it was just maybe because I came out after ages.

I saw towards the shore, thinking. It was a beautiful sight, The water waved too and fro as though it was grass in the strong wind, the coconut trees swayed like a dancing man.

THUD! I fell to the ground and I couldn't explain what happened next.

I rose up above the bed, breathing fast, thinking that it was all a dream.

I looked out the window, seeing the sun looking as bright as it can hoping that the real vaccine would come soon……
