A deep red envelope with pearls on its borders is not something you expect to receive on your weekend morning at your breakfast table. To add on the enigma, the sender’s address was missing. But the cynosure of the whole ordeal was the content of the envelope, a map. Perplexed I tried to decipher the route laid in it, the end of which was supposedly leading to me what looked an image of a pearl scintillating with its whiteness. Overpowered with inquisitiveness and irrationality, I took the most dreadful and intrepid call of my life.

The next day, I was in the sea with my boat dueling with the waves ready to engulf in their way. Ready to take the plunge, I looked at the sea, the vastness enthralled me and the depths called me to dive into its infinitude. The world turned completely blue around me next second. In the seas of infinity with just an oxygen mask to sustain myself, I looked around for a pearl. The tiniest one, but the shiniest one. In the deepest corners where laid the darkest tales of water, my relentless forage advanced. I went on following the trail finally reaching the untouched, undisturbed sunken vessel, the last door to my prize. I moved….

“Okay. I guess we must call it for the day”, said my psychotherapist. Yes, as per the world I was suffering from delusional disorder. Fools they are, because my words, my thoughts are as real as they could be. And while the doctor talked of my worsening condition to my family, I smirked and took the pearl out of my pocket to adore it once again.
