Today is the first day of my working life and I am feeling so sleepy. I have been up whole night creeping through books just to figure out the right chemical, physical and biological construction of these species called BOSS. The worst part is that they look quite similar to human being and it is very difficult if not impossible to figure out the difference. As my fate would have it, that very day I overheard somebody saying, “Boss is one who thinks you are a coin and loves to toss”.
From that moment on, I had been imagining myself being tossed up in the air and a coarse voice shouting out “HEADS”. The amazing part was that the imagination recurred with an amazingly precise level of consistency. God! What would be of me if I happen to come out the other way round? Well! I successfully kept myself away from such dreadful imagination.
My very first day at my very first job and I was good twenty minutes late. All thanks to the bus driver who picked up a quarrel with a co-passenger. Every precious moment of my extraordinarily precious time lost was making me lose my temper and I ultimately decided to kill the driver. Well on second thoughts office turned out to be a better place to live as compared to a jail and I gave up the idea.
It seemed quite ridiculous. Everybody in the office looked quite similar to BOSS. I guessed if that was a pre-requisition that you had to undergo a plastic surgery to look exactly alike. And what about other things, Gosh! I didn’t want to think beyond.
At last the moment arrived. I had been summoned for a pre-orientation meeting. As I reached the gate I pleaded to let me in, without knowing HELL? or HEAVEN?. It was only after my third call that the plea was entertained. As I entered the cabin, all my fears started to realize. Every wall carried these two statements written in some glaring red stuff:
STATEMENT NO. 1: BOSS IS ALWAYS RIGHT
STATEMENT NO. 2 : IF YOU THINK HE IS WRONG, REFER TO STATEMENT NO. 1
