MY HOPE

The sun bows down

For the moon to come around

And when the stars shine appallingly refrain

I know it’s night once again.

With footsteps tired as none

I’m trying to walk back home

But my mind keeps revolving;

Around all those things that didn’t happen and all that can’t be undone

I have no courage;

I’ve let my armor down

My breath is short;

And with tears I drown.

Fear is taking over me

Darkness seems to be its mate

The winds have grown adverse

The land is telling its tale

The moonlight is deceiving

has fortune cheated me again?

for It’s all gone

And I’m just left with regret and pain

But suddenly a light shines on me

I feel gaining myself back

Darkness is no more a foe

The roses are blooming again

And I’m ready for miles to go

It’s your face in my memory

That helps me to cross

Every battle

May it be pleasant or gross.

 As if your soft touch gives me the relief

And your smile makes me believe

That all truth cannot be concealed

And wounds are there for time to heal

As if your beauty just makes me kneel

 And your love gives me the zeal

To battle hard and last through this disdain

And emerge as a hero and your man yet again

 I’ve put my armor back;

The tomorrow is no more dark

Your eyes will guide me to any length

And 'you' have given me the strength

Now I’m ready to be your man

For your love is so deep and true

And I’m no more afraid

For I’ve found my hope in 'you'
