Rain pounding without mercy,
Harmful rays threatening to shrivel,
Still it tries, sending forth roots
and anchoring down.

Judgment pounding without mercy,
Harmful stares threatening to shrivel,
Still she tries, sending forth faith
and anchoring to Christ.
