The First Meet

It was an usual arranged marriage, the guy and the girl met amidst all the elders from both sides, they saw each other and spoke for some time, and there is nothing more to it than that.  Both were unaware of the type of person the other was. The girl was sure that the boy will not agree to the alliance, she even thought that incase he accepts the alliance there will certainly be some or the other issues to deal with and had no hope of the alliance being fixed.

The day after the authorized meeting, the girl was back to her customary to-do list and life, but there comes a smack, after a tiring day at office when  she returns home , her mom announced that the alliance has been finalized with the guy. It came as a shock to her , she couldn’t assimilate what she was hearing, she shuddered  and asked her mom all that she wanted to know, all the troublesome thoughts and her mother on her part her questions patiently.

 Only a mom can understand the mind of her baby girl and the turmoil she is going through, she was in a state of surprise, all of a sudden her world was going to change, then the truth hit her, she knew nothing regarding the guy nor the guy knew anything about her, and they were going to share their life, live together till death does them apart.

After another official meeting of their parents they officially exchanged their phone number, and were constantly on phone, slowly they got to know and understand each other, it was like a dream come true to her, he was overwhelmed to find such a girl. And here comes then arrived the D-Day, time for their FIRST MEET or FIRST DATE!!!

Although they had spoken endlessly and known each other over chat and calls, but facing each other for the first time made them nervous, she was nervous on how will he react upon seeing her, he was confused how to make the first move with her, both were nervous as well as excited to meet their life partner for the first time.

In order to make the environment between them a little easy, she pulled on a bet with him, if he wins over her, she needs to kiss him first before marriage. He was the type of guy who never cared much for his appearance, in spite of that he was trying different type of outfits, but wasn’t feeling happy and satisfied, his father was amused seeing his son’s situation and understood the importance of the day and the person whom his son was going to meet, he helped him in deciding his outfit. On the other side, she had been trying out different types of party wear, dresses, but nothing made satisfied her. He officially came to her home, asked her parents if he could take her out. She came in a simple cotton dress, he looked at her, she looked at him, their eyes met, both were tensed, she smiled at him, he smiled but still the nervousness hung in the air.

She slowly got on his bike, keeping a safe distance between them, on the other hand he was waiting for her to place a hand on his shoulder, and their day began, but no, no one spoke, there was silence prevailing between them, they went to temple, took the blessings of the lord and sat in silence in the premises of god. Both were looking in different directions, averting the gaze of each other.

Her mobile buzzed, she didn’t check the message, thinking it might make him feel bad, she was silently gazing nowhere, her mobile buzzed again , she gave a deaf ear to that.

“Your mobile is buzzing” he said

“Ha...” she stuttered and looked at it

“Bet?” it was a message from him, she looked at him smiling from ear to ear

“I’m here only, why are you messaging?” she asked still smiling

He put a hand on his heart and said, “I’m nervous” she laughed out loud, he too joined in, her laughter breaking the silence. It acted as an ice breaker between the two finally, and he won the bet with her by killing the silence between them.

Later on, they spoke their heart out for some time, and he dropped her home back, she invited him for tea, but to her surprise her parents went out, she opened the door with her spare key, again silence prevailed between them, they both sat in silence in the living room, gazing nowhere.

“Can I have some water?” he asked, she went into the kitchen to get water, he was not there, he was in her bedroom, scurrying everything.

She immediately started to blabber about all the things in her room .He turned towards her and extended his hand, she looked at him questioningly , “I won the bet” he said, the atmosphere in the room turned out to be very romantic, they were gazing at each other and smiling sheepishly. The touch had already started affecting her. She made a low moan and removed his hand. Instead, he pulled her close wrapping her by one arm and let her weight fall on him completely. She was enveloped in his arms and didn’t dare to look up. There was immense anxiousness inside her. She felt a slight discomfort but it vanished with the magic that he was creating. He made her feel excited and nervous every second he touched her. He could feel her breath harder with her chest pounding. Her stomach was twisting inside. She gave out a small shriek with a shiver and looked lustfully at him. His fingers raced across her lips only to get them parted for a moist kiss. It had been their first passionate kiss. There was a sudden feeling of shyness in her, she reconciled back, he pushed her towards the wall and they were deeply immersed in a deep passionate kiss, and it was the starting of their wonderful, beautiful relation, for a life together ahead.

We really don’t know who will come into our life and give us the sudden change we desire for in our life.

Epilogue –

Now sitting at her office desk, all she was thinking was about their first meet, giggling to herself thinking about HIM after 5 years of their marriage with one beautiful baby.
