The clock struck two
It was the last night
He got up from his bed
As she switched on the light
Cancer making a hole in his 80 years of life
This would be the last dance with his beloved wife
Removing all his drips
He didn’t care but to dance
Strength was bestowed upon him
This was the last chance
They came near and started the ball
Music was playing in the air
They seemed to be feeling all
Memories of the forgotten times making way to their heart
Waltz was so special to them
Their story it did start
Lost in each other, they danced till dawn
The old man knew in his heart that soon he would be gone
His wife carrying a heavy load tried not to cry
It was the last hour, it was time to say good bye
She broke into tears, her eyes became red
The old man hugged her tight and he said:
Remember you are a star for me
And for others you'll always be
One two three he died in her arms
The last feeling of love
The last of all charms
The clock struck five, she could feel the sun
It was the end of the unforgettable waltz
A new life for her had begun.
