The Way You Are

The cheerful and happy puppy, Aspen was running joyfully round the park. When suddenly, he noticed an eerie house. It was painted crimson and had nothing other than a splintered door.

On entering the peculiar abode, Aspen found numerous puppies, looking like him. At first he was scared but he soon realized that they were not here to harm him. And he started enjoying. He found the puppies merry and gleeful. These were his images, which were formed on the mirrors. The house was full of mirrors. The jolly Aspen went wild and started jumping hither and thither while laughing. Subsequently, he found the images laughing and enjoying too. He liked the ambience and departed with a huge smile.

The other day, he again went to the mysterious home. But this time he did not get afraid and marched into the house confidently. He had a good time playing and hoping around again. This now became his routine. Once a while, he would visit the house and leisure bouncing about in and out.

His friend puppy, Snowdrop, lived in the same place. But he was not like Aspen. He always used to be annoyed and get angry very quickly on little things.  He would nettle now and then. When Aspen told Snowdrop that there is a house near the park and it has lot of puppies inside it, he too was interested but not excited as Aspen about it.

One fine day, Snowdrop decided to look in on the dwelling. On entering the house he felt a little scared, but soon recovered. But he do not find the place bright and cheerful. He was never happy and was always annoyed. He saw this kind of puppies only. He got even more irritated and busted out of the house.

He furiously shouted at Aspen for sending him to such a place. Aspen did find it absurd. But he didn’t care for he was known to his friend’s nature. He kept going to the house and remained carefree while Snowdrop remained irk. They saw the way they were in the mirror and made perceptions accordingly.

A boy, Max saw this happening in his colony and understood that one always sees oneself in others. Aspen was always happy and saw the same type of image but Snowdrop was always displeased and saw puppies rub up the wrong way.
