We're not what we say we are

Our six star flag flies aimlessly through the air

A useless material, only here for wasting space

We don’t care for our culture

We don’t care for our land

The only thing here is a land of broken dreams

It is claimed there’s diversity, in our godforsaken country

Yet our indigenous and migrants are 

Pushed

        and pulled

                and prised

                        and played with

Breaking the values and morals we swear we have

Only for the humour and entertainment of the European Australians

We say we’re a land of giving

Yet we’ve robbed millions from a having a fair go

Constantly shaming them, depriving them of Welfare

Cheating them out of a life they once dreamed

And “It’s not our problem,” we cry

We’re just a second-rate country

A land full of lies

A nation of individuals leading to levels of corruption
Our country’s adrift

And we’re loose with the truth

We’re not what we say we are
