Written in the context of ensuing General Elections

Twinkle Twinkle little star
We always wondered what you are
Up and up in the World you go so high
Leaving us behind to die

Twinkle Twinkle little star
We always wondered what you are
You came to us expressing your concern
You shared our sorrow together we mourned
You promised us a world of dream
You assured us land of honey and cream
Soon dreams were forgotten promises lost
You discard us like a diseased host
We saw your castle grow higher and higher
We drowned in flood and burnt in fire

Twinkle Twinkle little star
We always wondered what you are
We have slept long enough now we are awake
We have dreamt long enough now we can tell your fake
You can no more force us to sleep
While higher and higher in your castle you creep
Our resolve is strong our goal is clear
Our god is work we move without fear
So beware of what you do
We now watch your entire move
Do not divide us on lines of cast and creed
We are now familiar with you and your greed

Twinkle Twinkle little star
We always wondered what you are
We have joined hands and formed a bond
Your days are numbered your time is gone
You will fail to match our marching pace
History will remember you with disgrace
We stand on the threshold of a new time
Where none is forgotten and labour is sublime
We have patiently waited for this new dawn
That will bring back the National pride foregone
So do not repeat your old ways
You no more impress you will loose face

Twinkle Twinkle little star
We always wondered what you are
