The Lunchtym Proposal

And It Went On Like This...

Everyone was lost in their realm, I was in mine,
24th February the insane date, I remember
11 AM…….and it was the LUNCHTIME!
Crowd of people in the canteen, used to be our fun chamber.

Dropping down the daily meal, good for nothing.
Wait!! I could sense, behind there is something!
With the tapping of small shoes came she, 
And I was totally confused what could it be?? 

“Hey, want to talk to you?” In the canteen premises, she echoed.
“OK”... possibly the best reaction I could have showed.
With that old Lunchbox in my hand….followed her small steps,
Amid unusual mind and random thoughts…..but I crept!

Do I look good or am I that smart? Oh I was living a fascinating dream,
Was being a little shy, as show off in front of girls was just too mainstream.
Smilingly she said… “Do you think I am making you a Fool?”
God, her Smile was enough to light up the entire school…. 

Catering my wish, she offered me her lunch,
Was it a prank or a delightful bunch?

“Spoon?” I asked. “I have an extra….” she commanded. 

“Ok”….my life entered into a new Era as if the destiny demanded.

“Can You and I become two hearts that beat as one?”

She appealed as if the heavens rained over me,

I was shocked and fascinated! But that was not my cup of tea.

Someone was waiting for my response…. 
11:20 A.M… over the lunchtime, over my story, 
With the crooked steps, I chose the way against her,
With a hope to handle my heart in the near future,

Amid such nonce, someone is still waiting for my response!!
