The Song of Love - A Poem

Laying my head on your chest

I listen to the music of your heartbeat

The soft rhythmic beat

That seems to be calling my name

Assuring me that your heart is still mine

I spend the night by your side

Holding tightly onto your hand

Just like I would hold on to my lifeline

As you wander in the world of dreams

I hold on to the only reality I know

Your silken tresses caress my cheeks 

And I melt by the touch of your feathery lips

Your soft skin grazes against mine

 Sending a thousand sensations across me

I drink in the wine of your nearness

 Watching your every move and every curve

You enchant me even in your sleep

With the happy smile playing on your lips

The moonlight shines through the window 

Longing to touch your body and soul

Making you look so sacred and pure  

I spend so many nights like this

Listening to the song of love 

Your heartbeat sings for me

Feeling the electricity of your touch  

Dazed by your divine beauty

Drinking the nectar of your innocence

Spending the night by your side

Watching you deep in sleep

And yet I long for many more such nights

Of pure eternal bliss!!!
