When Everything Stops

Time travels fast

Faster than light

Faster than a train, tiger or trigger

Or even a video that goes viral within seconds!

No friction force can hold it back

No objects can obstruct it

And yet, it forms shadows,

Shadows of the past

That sometimes stay,

Till the very last!  

And then, it gives

A host of golden memories

Smiling back at us from bygone days

And yet for some

Time comes to a standstill!

Seasons come and go

And people around continue to grow old

Nature turns into a sculptor

And landscapes paint a different picture!

Those eyes still have no pain, no happiness either

Their living soul, with death, is entwined

Wishing for time to move faster, faster than ever

Waiting, waiting, waiting

For the TIME to come!
