When Curiosity Meets Courage: A New Detective Duo Is Here
A new pair of young, amateur sleuths is ready to storm the world of children’s fiction, and they come armed with sharp instincts, unshakeable sibling loyalty, and just a hint of magic.
Bro, We’ve Got A Case! introduces readers to Anaya (13) and Kiaan (11), a book-loving brother-sister duo who don’t just admire fictional detectives, they become them. Bound by their motto, “We’ll Get This”, the siblings plunge into mysteries with fearless enthusiasm, razor-sharp observation skills, and the kind of teamwork only siblings can master.

Penned by veteran author Sumita Banerjea, this new offering marks an exciting evolution in her storytelling journey. Known for her engaging narratives and emotional depth, Banerjea has truly raised the bar this time—crafting a voice that feels immediate, witty, and unmistakably ‘now’. The dialogues crackle with the energy and rhythm that Gen Z readers will instantly recognise and relate to, making the characters feel like friends from their own world. Sumita creates a vibey atmosphere with the Gen Z lingo and mannerisms.
Raised on stories of daring investigators and inspired by real-world heroes, Anaya and Kiaan bring their literary passion into real-life action. Their cases aren’t child’s play. From hackers and fraudsters to poachers, kidnappers, and art thieves, the duo tackles crimes that feel contemporary, urgent, and thrillingly high-stakes.
What sets this book apart is its distinctive twist: Anaya has an extraordinary ability; nature speaks to her, and she knows how to listen. Whether it’s the rustle of leaves, the movement of animals, or subtle shifts in the environment, she decodes messages others would miss. This intriguing layer of intuitive magic blends seamlessly with fast-paced detective work, giving young readers something fresh and unexpected. Kiaan is the tech brain who comes up with the right solutions.
On select missions, cousins join the adventure, expanding the team dynamic and adding new energy to each case. But beyond the pulse-quickening action and clever clue-cracking, the stories also explore deeper emotional currents—surprising reunions, long-lost love, and the enduring strength of family bonds.
At its heart, Bro, We’ve Got A Case! celebrates curiosity, courage, and critical thinking. It invites readers not just to watch the mystery unfold, but to participate. Each twist encourages young minds to observe closely, question boldly, and think ahead.
For middle-grade readers hungry for adventure, heart, humour, and heroes their own age, Anaya and Kiaan promise a ride that is as clever as it is exhilarating. Oh, and the brilliant illustrations by Rupak Neogy elevate the reading experience to a, as Gen Z’s would say, totally sick level!
The game is on. The clues are waiting.
And this detective duo? They’ll get this.
Coming soon on Reado Junior!
